Tours in Pori Short city tour - duration 1.5 hours Make a tour of the city and visit the
Mausoleum of F. A. Juselius, mining counselor, with
original frescos painted by Akseli Gallen-Kallela. Make a tour of the city and visit the Juselius Mausoleum and Pori Art Gallery displaying Finnish and foreign modern art exhibitions. Satakunta Museum, with exhibits from the history of Pori town and the Satakunta region, is another alternative.
Summer walk - duration 2.5 hours Take a stroll around the beautiful park on Kirjurinluoto island and see the birds and domestic animals kept there. A coffee stop at the park's summer restaurant and then it's on to Pelle-Hermann play area with its pirate ship. Next is a visit to the Satakunta Horticultural Center, which is a gardening advice center. Finally we visit Hanhipuisto show gardens, where we can become familiar with the most hardy and beautiful perennial trees, bushes and flowers of the Pori area. A walk along Eteläranta - duration 2 hours Eteläranta: as well as having the most beautiful scenery in the town, the riverbank area represents Pori's oldest architecture. A visit to Pori Art Gallery, the modern art museum which has been converted from the old weighing and Customs warehouse. Visiting exhibitions of Finnish and foreign modern art are displayed here and there is also a café. From the Art Gallery we walk to Hallituskatu, featuring Pori's most notable buildings: the City Hall, the Old Courthouse, Pori Theater and Satakunta Museum, which is the last place on this walk.
Tour of Meri-Pori- duration 3 hours Visit Yyteri leisure area, the port,
and Reposaari island with its Norwegian-style church.
Take a coffee break at Yyteri and finally a short tour
in the center.
